Engineered to Breathe

During wind tunnel testing of the NSX, the team collaborated with Michelle Christensen, Exterior Design Project Lead, punching holes in the hood of the prototype design to improve airflow. Using design to stream air throughout the entire vehicle, aerodynamics found new levels of artistry.

Ultra-Thin A-Pillars

Ultra-thin yet super-strong, the A-pillar design and a low-mounted instrument panel minimize obstructions of the driver’s view, helping to create a panoramic view from the cockpit. In the moment, the car almost disappears – giving you an extremely close connection to the road.

Ergonomic Seat Design

The NSX seats use class-leading materials selected for their gripping performance and outstanding comfort. The aggressively-shaped bolsters are smooth leather for in-and-out ease, while the seat centres use Alcantara for better-than-suede grip and durability.

The meticulously-engineered steering wheel is designed to help the driver carve precise turns. The oblong shape allows an unobstructed view over the top and greater leg clearance at the bottom. Strategic stitching is placed for comfort and control.

The NSX was designed from the inside out with an uncompromising focus on the driver. Building from the original, we created a Human Support Cockpit that provides exceptional control, visibility and packaging – and true to our racing heritage, leaves headroom for a helmet.

Available surround sound speakers on the exclusive ELS Studio^® Premium Audio System provide studio-quality sound. Active Noise Cancellation helps to remove ambient wind and engine noise. Together, they provide the perfect soundtrack to your Acura’s performance.

Acura Pigment Technology

These advanced paints are engineered using cutting edge pigment technologies such as micas, metal flakes and nano pigments (super-high transparency), now offered on all Acura models to deliver Precision Crafted Performance in every aspect of the vehicle. Each premium paint colour receives additional coats to enhance the color intensity and depth along with a special clear coat to further improve luster.

Jewel Eye™ Illumination

Acura’s low, wide Jewel Eye™ headlight styling doesn’t just catch the eye, it also assists them. Its six-beam LED bulbs mimic natural sunlight to help view colours more vividly and reduce fatigue at night.

Precise Aim

The brighter, whiter beams of the Jewel Eye™ LED headlights help to reduce night driving fatigue. The purpose of their design comes to light with a precisely aimed focus over longer and wider surface areas, helping to clearly reveal the road ahead.

Down-Road Visibility

For heightened visibility at night, Jewel Eye™ lights have been designed to mimic natural sunlight. The high-beams switch on 200 milliseconds quicker than conventional lights – and at 100 km/h, that’s 17 feet of potential safer stopping distance.

Perforated Milano Leather

Finish off your Acura’s seats with top-grain Milano leather that’s equally soft as it is durable. More than a stylish touch, the perforation helps accommodate the heating and cooling ventilation of our Platinum Elite Package.

Alcantara

Thoughtfully integrated into select vehicles, Alcantara looks and feels even better than suede. But beyond its luxury appearance, this specialty-textured material has a lateral grip that will hold you in your seat while you carve up the corners ahead.
