Whether you're a current EV owner or looking to make the switch, explore the advantages of an
electrified lifestyle.
Less filling up, more multi-tasking. Electric vehicles offer the flexibility to charge while you work, sleep, or run errands. Charge whenever it works for you.
With generally fewer maintenance costs, EVs can be easier on your wallet. Not only do they typically cost less to drive per mile than gas vehicles, they may be eligible for provincial rebates too.
With zero tailpipe emissions, EVs are engineered to help contribute to improved air quality and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. As a bonus, certain areas may allow EV drivers to use designated HOV lanes.
Engineered on an all-new platform, Acura's next luxury EV is the RSX. Made in our exclusive North American EV hub, both the vehicle and facility promise to play a pivotal role in shaping our vision for the mobility of tomorrow.
There's something new on the horizon. Catch a glimpse of the RSX Prototype, Acura's next generation of EV performance. Scheduled to arrive in 2026.
Driving electric is simple, thanks to three different charging levels that help it fit seamlessly into your lifestyle. Acura EVs can use a portable charging cable with 120V and 240V adapters, allowing you to charge via a standard three-pronged home outlet (120V AC), or a 4-pronged NEMA 14-50 outlet (240V AC) at limited speeds.

Level 1 charging uses a standard 120-volt home electrical outlet, compatible with a portable charging cable. Simply plug the charger directly into a wall outlet and draw power from your home.

With a wide array of charging solutions, be prepared with plenty of range for wherever life takes you.

Driving an electric vehicle is even more convenient when you charge at home with a Level 2 charger. Home installation lets drivers plug in overnight and start the day with more range. We highly recommend speaking to a certified installer who will help you understand all the requirements and the best home connector type for your needs.

What are some of the benefits of an electric vehicle (EV)?
Electric vehicles (EVs) are powered by electricity from a rechargeable battery, as opposed to an internal combustion engine, which means they produce zero tailpipe emissions. And, because their motors are electric, they offer a far more quiet cabin.
Also, the simplified drivetrain in an EV gives engineers more flexibility to design a spacious interior for both drivers and passengers.
Would my routine need to change in order to own an EV?
One important adjustment to your life will be remembering to plug your electric vehicle into a Level 1 or Level 2 charger overnight at home. When you do need to charge while on the road, some quick planning can help you determine which public charging station best fits your road trip and, for added convenience, which has amenities near it so you can shop, eat, or run errands while your EV charges.
How much maintenance is required for an EV?
The maintenance on an EV is less than you may think. EVs do not require scheduled oil changes, for example, but will still need regular service on items like tire rotations, alignments, and air filter changes. Your EV will also need to have its battery, electric motor, and cooling system inspected according to a maintenance schedule.
What if I want to take a road trip?
Planning ahead and checking what charging options are available en route to your destination can help ensure the best road trip experience possible. Finding the charging stations that will be available on your drive through mobile apps can help optimize your charging and keep you on track to arrive at your destination on time. Many public charging stations are now located near restaurants and shopping malls, so you can time your charging with meals or stretch your legs while you wait. ZDX owners can now enjoy access to more DC Fast Charging* locations, including select Tesla Superchargers*, with purchase of the Acura NACS-CCS adapter.

EXPLORE CHARGEPOINT HOME FLEXI can’t install a home charger at my home. Are there other charging options?
A Level 2 home charging device is typically the most convenient, but the rising number of public charging stations in some areas could make it possible to solely use public stations. Many EV drivers often rely on chargers at their workplace. Charging your Acura EV on the go is easy with a wide network of public stations. With an expanding public charging network, and access to select charging stations on the Tesla Supercharger* network plus other publicly available DC Fast chargers that utilize North American Charging Standard (NACS) ports with the Acura NACS-CCS adapter, powering up away from home is simple and seamless.
How do I use a public charging station?
Most charging stations accept credit card payments. Some stations accept payment from a phone app but may require you to register for an account.
What is an NACS-to-CCS adapter?
An NACS-CCS adapter allows certain vehicles, like the ZDX, to use NACS chargers, giving you access to select charging points on the Tesla Supercharger* network in North America plus other publicly available DC Fast chargers. Adapters are available for purchase through authorized Acura dealers and come with a 1-year warranty.
What are the step-by-step instructions to use the NACS-CCS adapter?
Locate a compatible NACS J3400 DC fast-charging station. Some stations require third party apps for payment (e.g., Tesla Supercharging stations require the Tesla app). Inspect your adapter and NACS charging plug for damage or debris and ensure the cable can comfortably reach your vehicle before parking.
Securely attach your NACS-to-CCS adapter to the NACS charging connector. Align the adapter with your vehicle’s CCS charge port and insert firmly.
Activate and pay for the charge session using the charging provider’s system either via mobile app or credit card at the station. Look for visual or audible confirmation (e.g., green indicator light on the vehicle or charging station). Monitor charge status via vehicle dashboard or charging provider’s app and avoid tampering with adapter during charging.
Stop charging through the charging provider’s system then release your adapter by disconnecting from vehicle first and then removing charging cable. Return the cable to housing and store adapter properly.
Periodically inspect your adapter for wear or damage and clean with a dry cloth to avoid debris buildup.
