An Acura Plus Extended Warranty can prolong your vehicle's coverage by extending both time and mileage. Additionally, Acura Plus offers Roadside Assistance to minimize inconveniences from unforeseen circumstances.
What does my Acura Plus Extended Warranty Cover?
The Acura Plus Extended Warranty is one of the most comprehensive in the industry. With a few exceptions, most components are covered. The Service Provision outlining all the terms and conditions was provided to you at time of purchase. If you have not received it or have not purchased an Acura Plus Extended Warranty yet but would like to see a copy, please speak with your Acura dealer.
Your Acura Plus Extended Warranty includes Roadside Assistance for the term of your plan. The Service Provision will also outline the many benefits of the Roadside Assistance program.
Am I covered everywhere in North America with Acura Plus?
Your Acura Plus Extended Warranty is with you wherever you travel in Canada and continental USA. Outside of Canada you will initially be responsible for any repair costs that you may incur. Contact your selling dealership for reimbursement of eligible claims.
Your coverage also remains valid if you change your address within Canada.
Can I purchase an Extended Warranty for my Acura Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)?
Of course! The vehicle’s high voltage battery is covered by the 8 year/ 160,000 km factory warranty. For full peace of mind, other components can be protected by purchasing an Acura Plus Extended Warranty. With the exclusion of the high voltage battery, charging cables and in home/other chargers, the same coverage applies as for any of our Acura vehicles.
If your battery is completely depleted, Acura Plus Roadside Assistance will tow your vehicle to the nearest public charging station, your dealership or your home charging station, whichever is closest up to a limit of 50 km.

Does Acura provide a loaner vehicle while my vehicle is in for repairs?
If you purchased an Acura Plus Extended Warranty and the repair is covered, and the actual total repair time is over 5 hours, under most conditions you may be entitled to a Car Rental under the Acura Plus Car Rental provisions.
Is the Acura Plus Extended Warranty transferable?
Yes. It is transferable under most conditions. There is no cost to transfer the contract from you to the purchaser of your vehicle.
How do I transfer or cancel my Acura Plus?
The transfer of an Acura Plus is done automatically when the Acura Manufacturer warranty is transferred into the new customer’s name. If you wish to cancel your Acura Plus you may do so for any reason within 30 days of plan purchase date for a full 100% refund at your Acura Dealership.
Is there anything I must do to keep my Acura Plus Plan in effect?
You must maintain your vehicle according to Acura's maintenance requirements, as outlined in your Owner's Manual.
Will I incur any additional cost for a covered component breakdown?
Acura Plus Extended Warranty plans have $0 deductible on a covered component breakdown.
There is no deductible for covered repairs or for Roadside Assistance coverage.
How long do I have to purchase an Acura Plus Plan?
It is best to buy an Acura Plus Extended Warranty at the time you acquire your new vehicle, this way it is included in the final financing or cash settlement.
Standalone Roadside Assistance can be purchased at any time on any Canadian Acura vehicle regardless of the age or odometer reading.
Acura Plus Extended Warrantycan be purchased for vehicles up to 5 model years and under 100,000 km.
How is time & mileage calculated on an Acura Plus Extended Warranty Plan?
Regardless of when you purchase your Acura Plus Extended Warranty Plan, the coverage period starts from the date on the vehicle’s Retail Delivery Report (RDR) and at zero kilometers. It ends when either the time or mileage limit is reached, whichever comes first.
The distance traveled limitation does not apply to the Acura Plus Roadside Assistance portion of the plan.
How is time & mileage calculated on Roadside Assistance?
On Roadside Assistance, time is the only factor applicable. Time is calculated from the date you signed the Application and expires based on the "Plan Term" selected.
Are there any steps to follow if a breakdown occurs?
Firstly, use all reasonable means to protect your vehicle from further damage resulting from mechanical breakdown or failure. For example, you must stop operating the vehicle safely immediately if warning lights, oil or temperature lights are activated. Your Owner’s Manual contains information on every warning light in your vehicle as well as how to handle certain unexpected situations.
Secondly, arrange for your Acura vehicle to be safely and appropriately transported to the Acura dealership of your choice for repair.
