Honda Canada and Ontario Honda Dealers spread holiday cheer with over three thousand toys collected for the 48th Annual CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish

Lucky supporter presented with keys to a brand new 2015 Honda Civic

MARKHAM, ON – December 22, 2014 – In support of the 48th Annual CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, Honda Canada and Ontario Honda dealers have delivered more than three thousand toys that will soon be wrapped and given to children across the Greater Toronto Area. The toy drive began on November 1st  and involved the participation of all 77 Ontario Honda dealers.

Ontario residents were asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to their local Honda dealer.  In return for their generous donations, each received an online ballot making them eligible to win a new car.  One lucky winner was randomly selected during this morning’s CP24 Breakfast broadcast. Carol Dugas, from Scarborough, ON, is now the proud owner of a brand new 2015 white Civic Sedan EX.

“The CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish brings joy to children and families in need and Honda Canada couldn’t be happier to be a part of this important cause,” said Jerry Chenkin, President and CEO of Honda Canada. “We’d like to thank our customers and associates for their generous donations, as well as the continued involvement of Honda dealers across the province. This is what holiday giving is all about.”

Honda Civic is Canada’s best-selling passenger car for 16 years running. Honda associates in Alliston, Ontario have built more than 3.8 million Civics since 1988. Since 1973, 1.8 million Canadians have chosen Civic as their car.
